Gina thinks Bollywood is great!!! Initially it was the costumes and look that she thought was so cool. The beautiful veils with sequins, sarees, pretty bindis, cholis with mirrors and great jewelry. Dancing Indian style and Bollywood routines is so much fun. It's a challenge but Gina likes challenges. Mostly, she now loves Bollywood because it is very theatrical in facial expressions and attitude and there is so much meaning behind a lot of the moves and combinations we do. I could try and emulate several Bollywood stars depending on the performance I am in. However, I would say Rani Mukherjee has a great look. She comes across very confident, wise, but enormously playful, which is what I strive to be in life all the time. Which Bollywood star is your heart-throb? I have a feeling Shahrukh Khan is the #1 heart throb amongst us American Bollywood girls... What is your dance/theatre background? Wow! I have studied many varieties of dance in my life including Jazz, Modern, Ballet, African drum dance, and even Ballroom and Swing. Theatre and dance was always a dream but in College the visual arts was my main focus. So while shooting for my degree in Fine Art I also took dance and some Performance Art. Five years ago I consumed myself into another form of dance that caught my eye at an opening for a little Pakistani clothing store when a belly dancer came out and entertained. Since then I have taken Middle Eastern dance classes and workshops with many well-known instructors such as Samia, Yasmina, Helena, Ansuya, Suhaila and Samantha (of Domba). I am also involved in a Tribal Fusion Belly Dance Troupe called Alimah and I have been dancing professionally for almost 4 years. Tell us something strange or quirky about yourself... What makes me weird lately is I thrive on constant busyness and don't get enough sleep. I need a Vacation. Take me to India!
